In 2014 Janet was joined by her son, Edward (Hans) Kuenzi who returned to the farm after finishing school. Janet Kuenzi started growing vegetables for her organic produce co-op in 1996 and the group is still active. With Line Creek as the east property line, the space devoted to farming is part of 31 beautiful acres on Fischer Road in Sharpsburg. It still amazes us how a lump of clay from the earthcan transform into colorful cups, bowls, and a plethora of other items. Each piece is carefully hand crafted with love.
What started out as a hobby soon turned into a small business. After Tony saw how much fun I was having he decided to join me and he fell in love with clay as well.
The moment my hands touched the clay and wheel I knew that I found my passion. Our creative journey began together in 2015 when I took my first pottery class after becoming an empty nester. Our functional ceramic work is food safe, microwavable and dishwasher safe. I mainly create functional pottery pieces on the wheel, and Tony is the hand-builder who loves to use his hands to create unique one of a kind exquisite pieces to decorate your home. We are still deciding who is the fire and who is the form, but together we make beautiful ceramic pieces.
